TIMES Analysis is a methodology for analyzing a professional services firm's environment focusing on 5 key elements :

TIMES stands for :

Trends: identify the 2 or 3 major trends on your market or industry sector over the last few months.

Ideas/Innovations: identify ideas/innovations specific to your targeted industry that shows you do know this industry, you're part of it, you speak the same langage and talk about the same topics!

Events: Identify the thematic, format (conference / seminar), date and location of events (e.g. awards, surveys...) organized by professional associations or challengers on the firm's market or industry sector.

Media: Identify the economic, financial and specialized press read by the firm's targets in their specific market or industry sector.

Stakes and Stakeholders: identify economical stakes, political stakes, market / industry sector / company legal restrictions and competitive forces of your target or actual client. Also identify the actors of the market or industry sector: clients, propsects, associations, competitors.
